Mel Pier and Erin Mo are the ‘Girls Next Door’, Adelaide acoustic duo.
Their charismatic stage presence combined with their lush harmonies, exceptional musicianship and sense of fun always ensures that the audience is left wanting more.
The girls have a broad song list that features everything from current chart hits, to pop and rock classics.
They specialise in tailoring their set list to suit the venue or occasion, and their intimate “unplugged” style is just as at home in the front bar of your local, right through to the
most formal of functions.
Mel has been a freelance musician since 2006, at the same time starting her Bachelor of Music.
Since then she has also completed a Graduate Diploma of Education (2010), Certificate IV in Music Industry and toured in various bands around Australia.
She has taught at schools including Wilderness College, Mercedes, Saint Aloysius and Our Lady of Sacred Heart.
Mel is in the process of developing her home studio and production skills, with the goal of working in music licensing. Her friend and mentor Gary Gray has helped her to
secure her first studio session work (guitar) on a major motion picture.
Erin is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and highly sought after vocalist in Adelaide.
She grew up singing in a musical household and playing a variety of instruments including piano and guitar and went on to study music at the Adelaide Conservatorium.
The unique sensitivity she brings to each individual song makes the lyrics come alive and her love of romance and sweet melodies shows in her heartfelt, powerful
performances.
